For the record, the bug was fixed. Source Forge blocks .zip files,
but the fix had been committed to the CVS.

Thank you for the bug report, it has been confirmed and corrected
in the LCM 0.7.x branch. The next release, 0.7.3, will include the fix.

In the mean time, you can test the solution by using the files in the 
attached zip file. To use it, unzip it in a temporary directory, then 
move the files into the location where you have installed LCM.
