Brian,

So the problem stemmed from the printer not accepting InDesign's PDF
natively? Your blog described the printer exporting EPS from Acrobat. Have
you concluded unequivocally that this is an InDesign shortcoming (or bug?)
or that is a workflow shortcoming? Most printing outfit I work with honor
PDF natively, like Kodak Prinergy or Heidelberg MetaDimension -- those
systems don't need to have files supplied in EPS form for compatibility.
