I haven't tested to see what happens to temperature when reading patches in scanningmode. There can be a temperature affect in the lamp on the i1pro, but it seems fairly variable. Of the two i1pro's I have, the older one shows a noticeable variation in lamp output with regard to how long it is on and overall lamp duty cycle. This is reasonably accurately modelled as a thermal effect. The newer one shows no such behaviour. My speculation is that perhaps this is to do with lamp age. Note that the lamp is not involved in monitor measurement, and it is likely to be sensor dark noise that is the cause of variations in monitor readings (dark noise is very temperature dependent).
