I notice in myself, a slightly different color balance in each eye--the left eye seeing more bluish and the right eye having a warmer color balance.

Maybe I should profile my eyes ;-) .

Certainly we both agree that this represents an extreme case. That's why in
my last sentence (not quoted here) I qualified my statement by saying that
compensation mechanisms in the human visual system work "within reasonable
limits".
