Import/Export in Syllabus Tool?

Are there any plans to add support for "import from site" and "duplicate
site" for the Syllabus tool? It's the only tool in the Sakai bundle that
doesn't offer faculty an option to port their content from one site to
another. (I thought that a prereq to be in the bundle. No?). If the latter
is not in the plans in the near future, is it possible to provide an
alternative standard IMS import/export functionality in the Syllabus tool,
like Samigo and Melete do to allow instructors to port their content from
one site to another? This is a major source of frustration for instructors
who now have to copy and paste syllabus items from one term to the next. Not
a very good use of any professor's time.... 

Perhaps something along the lines of the above is in the works. Please let
us know what you know. Thanks.
