calendar functionality

Hi,

I am interested in having a calendar portlet for my portal that is a  
general calendar to display events for visitors of the portal. I was  
looking into the possibility of using the calendar portlet in Sakai.  
Is there any way to get the standalone calendar portlet and install  
it in an existing GridSphere portal I have running? Can anyone point  
me at documentation along this lines?

Also, I installed the Sakai demo and I don't seem to see the calendar  
on there. Can someone point me to it?
