RSF 0.6.1 released: msg#00696cms.sakai.devel
RSF (*) version 0.6.1 is released this evening. Come over to http://www2.caret.cam.ac.uk/rsfwiki for the details. The main improvements in this release are a thorough overhaul of the Maven build process, especially for Sakai users, with proper use of the Maven Sakai plugin - now it's simply a matter of checking the samples out of svn and typing "maven sakai". In addition the Hibernate Cookbook Sample now makes use of determined "Sakai Best Practice" (:P) in its use of the GlobalSessionFactory, so if nothing else it also serves as a nice minimal illustration for folks who want to see how this is meant to work. The artefact structure of the sample apps has been fully factored so that targetting standalone and targetting Sakai really is just a matter of file layout. As well as build improvements there is the usual all-round set of bug fixes (RSF now has its own JIRA) and performance enhancements. New features are components UIAnchor and UIVerbatim, and improved template resolution flexibility for folks using RSF for mixed request types (AJAX, XUL etc.). With this release RSF is going fully public, so it's time to see what the wider community has to make of it. And BTW Chuck, that gag about "but there's only one guy using it" isn't going work at Vancouver :P Cheers, Antranig. (*) "RSF is a web programming framework with roughly the scope of Sun's JSF" ---------------------- This automatic notification message was sent by Sakai Collab (http://collab.sakaiproject.org/portal) from the DG: Development site.
