Yeap. It has been updated here
http://phpwebsite-comm.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?title=Generic_Install_Introduction
and here

Most phpWebSite problems go away if the installation steps are followed
end to end. Most installation mistakes that cause other problems that
have been resolved here
http://phpwebsite-comm.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?title=User_FAQ .

All this looks good. The installation documentation was written on
Fedora Core so you should be at home with CentOS.

It is better to perform a minimal install following the wiki
installation guide and then boost (install) additional modules as your
site requires them. Boost documentation is located here

I often recommend that you use the demo site to play with phpWebSite
http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu/demo/0.10.x/ and use the user guide
http://phpwebsite-comm.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?title=User_Guide
and modules page
http://phpwebsite-comm.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?title=Modules to
play with a working site. That may take some pressure off of you. You
can play on a site that will not matter to you before you try the
concepts on your live site.
I hope this helps.
