branch concepts

My practical training for my master study will be (basically) about moving organizations away from classic black boards to the web. The plan: Every organization gets their phpwebsite installation (a branch) and will be automatically listed on a master installation (the main phpwebsite installation).

 

That's the tricky part. There is a place for the site name, which I will reuse as the organization name. I can list that quite easily on the master-site. But is there a standarized place for meta-data as well? Take for example a doctors-organization. It has, say, 20 members.

 

These members have certain attributes. Like opening-times, qualifications, etc.

 

Where would I put that? I'd put it somewhere in the branches, these informations would have to be editable by the branch-owners. Still, I need a (searchable) list on the master site. And also some kind of advanced search (on a per-field basis), which doesn't seem to exist yet.
