for 1.x I am developing with just two major tags/columns and 2 minor.
BODY - Unless defined otherwise, content will appear here.
SIDEPANEL - smaller boxes usually are here
The minors are HEADER and FOOTER. They are used by the Layout module,
but are not required.
Other than that you can add as many other areas as you want, in any
structure that you want.
