Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation. more...

Subject: Re: xml-rpc with Perl

Hi Helge,

thanks for your answers.
At first i recognized that our skyrixxmlrpcd was not runnig - i started it an
it is now listening on port 8088 (that's what i defined in skyrix).
Now i try to connect to connect to our host:

$self=XMLRPC::Lite->proxy('http://<user>:<password>@<host>:8088');

It seems, that this is working. But:
If i try to call a method:
line 16: $self->call('system.listMethods');

I get the following error:
500 EOF at line 16

We use an apache in version 1.3.x and skyrix in version 4.1 - what do i have to
configure in the http.conf or is there another reason for this?

Thx,
André

The appropriate URL is:
http://your-apache-host/RPC2

If you use Skyrix, not OGo, setup might be different. Which Skyrix
version do you use?

To find out what port xmlrpcd is running on you might try something like
lsof -i | grep ogo-xmlrpcd

This port must be consistent with the port configured in Apache.
Greets,
Helge
