Nope.  You need to create the appointment and then add participants.
Creating an appointment with participants does not work.  Use
appointment.setParticipants, it takes the primary key of the appointment
(id) and then an array of participant ids (either teams, contacts, or
both).  Currently I don't believe adding a resource as a participant
works.
