The root account can do everything. So if it doesn't work, its "just"
not implemented, its very unlikely a permission problem.

I think so. However, I've recognized that a direct database connection is preferable. You have to take more care but the XMLRPC is really slow (at least the create appointment function and the search for duplicates).

So far, the appointment import from CorporateTime works for me but I've to make it much faster for a production run.
