Alternatively I tried ContactManager.fetchEnterprises but I don't know how to set the FetchSpecification properly. I tried "id = '...'" and "id like '...'" with number and full qualified id. No result.

That would be

'companyId = 12345'

AFAIK the datasources do not know about 'id' fields (thats an XML-RPC mapping thing). And 'companyId''s are numbers, not strings.
