This is a problem with the Apache XmlRpc Library, which is ancient and 
can only deal with Hashtables but not Maps.

 So, you can keep the interface a Map (JOGI also uses List and Map 
instead of Vector and Hashtable), but you must use Hashtables (which 
implement the Map interface, but I think the Apache XmlRpc Library tests 
for the Hashtable class).
