Yep, that was the part you didn't understand in my initial reply :-)
iCalendar (and probably PocketPC) use "calculated" sequences while OGo uses "stored" sequences. Both have their particular advantages and disadvantages.

Well, you must set some reasonable limit. I see no other option (besides not synchronizing such events and letting the user know about the issue).

- If you try to modify a created periodic appointment, it is possible to have all the group modified by simply modifying the _first_ element of the cycle. But I haven't managed to delete _all_ the appointments of a cycle. If you try to delete the first one, it just deletes the first one. So you have to delete _every_ appointment, one by one. I suppose it exists another way of deleting all appointments of a cycle in a more direct and automatic way. Is it true?
Can anybody tell me how?

I think this might not be possible with the XML-RPC API. File a bug and I fix it.
