I don't think that works very well, the generator probably bases its 
assumptions on the output of system.methodSignature which is often 
wrong due to the 'automagic' mapping in ogo-xmlrpcd.

The signature is:
  array getToDoList(bool onlyIds, string login)

thus:

You need to call it like:

  getToDoList(false, "gerhard");

the login must be the same like the basic-auth login (except you are 
root).

Calling without any parameters might work as well, like:

  getToDoList();

Yes, I think you can't use the proxy generator.
