Re: [OGo-XML-RPC] a few questions...: msg#00010cms.opengroupware.xmlrpc.devel

By default, it runs on the same port (20000) as the main http server, though I was able to guess the -WOPort command to put it on a different port. Correct. This is also a bit special to OGo, in SKYRiX the load balancer assigns a port the started instance. Anyway ... Is this the correct way to run these services? Yes. Separately, and on separate ports? Yes. And both services should be accessed through Apache. So you can map /RPC2 in your Apache to the XML-RPC daemon and /OGo to the WebUI. Also, when I point a web browser at the xmlrpc daemon it show all the available methods and their number and type of arguments, but it doesn't say what the arguments do. Is this documented anywhere? We'll publish an English XML-RPC docu later, it's basically ready. In the meantime you might want to look at the various README.* files in the Documentation section (very rough). That you can connect using a webbrowser is pure luck and not an intended/documented feature ;-) best regards, Helge -- OpenGroupware.org - http://www.opengroupware.org/
