Trigger an action when loading a page

Hello,

Now to trigger some action I am using some button associated with the
"<h:commandLink>", the "action" parameter allow me to call a distant method.

But I would like to know if it's possible to do this on page loading, because I
have to initialize a variable in the java code before displaying the page.
