Re: prob of Documentum administrator

Hi,   release notes say DA 5.2 can be used with Documentum server 5.2.x versions. The only thing i am worried about is Apache tomcat 4.0.6.......and also i am using only windows server 2000 not service pack 3.   I am not getting the binary for 4.0.6 since the site says that it is an old version. Can anyone provide me this binary?   I got to check with Service pack 3 too.   Regards, Sandeep waghAshwini Sawant <ashwinijsawant-/E1597aS9LQxFYw1CcD5bw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Sandeep,   Yes I believe this is a Tomcat version issue. I don't think 4.1.27 is supported by DA 5.2 You may want to h ave a look at the "Release Notes" for the DA version you are trying to use. They clearly mention the supported software in it.   HTH AshwiniSandeep wagh <sansoft59-/E1597aS9LQAvxtiuMwx3w@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Hi all,   i am using Documentum Administrator 5.2 and apache tomcat  4.1.27.I start tomcat through command line and try to access DA.It allows me to login to the Docbase successfuly. But whenever i try to create a new cabinet or a new usrname it gives me a "null exception pointer error" .   while installing DA i have to check the Apache Tomcat 4.0.6 option which is not the case ......for i am using version 4.1.27 of the same.....   is it becoz of the version differences i am getting the error.....?   Also if i install the version 4.0.6 will it make any difference to the WDK i have already installed for i have learnt that only specified versions are allowed for Documentum.   Plz help   Regards, Sandeep Yahoo! Re: prob of Documentum administrator

Hi Sandeep   You need to use specified versions of software mentioned in release notes, and one more thing you can have different versions of tomcat in one system that is not a problem, only thing is you need to have different port numbers for those tomcat's, and problem might not be with windows server 2000.   If you have any more doubts you uninstall DA and Tomcat and Install the desired versions of software, before u install those again make sure that you restart your system.   hope this helps   cheers chris Sandeep wagh <sansoft59-/E1597aS9LQAvxtiuMwx3w@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Hi,   release notes say DA 5.2 can be used with Documentum server 5.2.x versions. Regards, Sandeep waghAshwini Sawant <ashwinijsawant-/E1597aS9LQxFYw1CcD5bw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Sandeep,   Yes I believe this is a Tomcat version issue. quick migration question

Hi all I was just presented with a documentum config which was snapshotted from a production env and dumped on another env. This includes content and database - all multi tier. Obviously the docbase id etc. is the same (same server.ini). If all mount points are the same plus dmcl.ini, tnsnames.ora, server.ini etc. are all pointing to the correct hosts names, db connection info etc. is there any other stuff that needs to be done to make the config work? At least if I could start making a list it would help. This is a unix/oracle env. and I am aware there are proper migration procedures but I just got landed with this and and trying to ascertain the volume work in getting the new environment working. Many thanks Kevin ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get fast access to your favorite Yahoo! Groups.
