Before InPlace Migratin why to execute the jobs

Hi All,

Before doing InPlace Migration we have to execute the
jobs like dm_clean,
dm_StateofDocbase,dm_consitencyChecker. 

-Can any one tell me how to execute the jobs
(procedure ie.. where to execute the job...etc)

-what is the need of each job.
