Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, that will still allow the
user to change the field. What I ended up doing instead was using the
"disabled" text field attribute for IE users, and "onfocus=blur(this)"
for Netscape users.

(Why both? The IE method doesn't work in Netscape, and the blur(this)
is not completely reliable in IE)...does this surprise anybody? ;-)
