Re: Handling Requests And Statuses (Was "Re: Fw: Thanks"): msg#00057cms.cold-fusion.user.azcfug
The datasource name doesn't have to match the database name, of course, so I wouldn't worry about that. I would just remove the space. What's the need for tact? It's no criticism. Just tell him/her you understand that spaces in datasource names can cause problems (maybe not now but later), and it would be a good idea to change it now before it gets too far down the road. Unless the webmaster has good reasons for keeping it the way it is (e.g., too much legacy code expects it to be "Survey Status" or somesuch) --- in which case you should work it out together --- it should be a non-issue. If everything works now and you don't expect to ever change your configuration or add any advanced functionality, you may just want to keep the name the way it is. Up to you. :-) (Anyone else out there think differently? This is just my 2 cents...and I'm not counting inflation. ;-) Judd Miller Senior Programmer Vertical Alliance, Inc. --- dwiese@xxxxxxxxxxxxx wrote: > > The data base file is called surveystat.mdb, but for some reason the > IT > webmaster in COLD FUSION administrator used Survey Status as the > name.
