pbs_iff: Invalid credential on Mac OS X: msg#00007

Subject: pbs_iff: Invalid credential on Mac OS X
Dear Torque users,

I am setting up torque on a Mac OS X panther 10.3 machine with server on Linux.
The Linux box is running torque-1.2.0p3.
On the Mac OS X box I've tried torque-1.2.0p6 and torque-2.0.0p7. torque-1.2.0p3 wouldn't compile under Mac OS X.

I tried pbsnodes -a and obtained:
pbs_iff: Invalid credential
No Permission.
pbsnodes: cannot connect to server gridgate05.testgrid, error=15007

Then I tried "pbs_iff -t gridgate05.testgrid 15001" obtaining:
pbs_iff: Invalid credential

This works for our other clusters which are all Linux based (RH9, RH7.3, SL3, SuSE 9.3 and Centos 4.3).

I see only one similar record on the torqueusers list to do with HPUX machines, but it doesn't seem to be an identical problem. I doubt there is a problem at the server. The configuration is identical on all clusters except that in the Mac OS X case, the client software is installed into /usr/local/bin and /usr/local/sbin instead of /usr/sbin and /usr/bin. Because of the path issue, I added the /usr/local paths to /etc/profile.

Anyone seen similar problems?
