Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation. more...

fix .load_extensions(): cannot expect existing 'extensions' subdirectory
because it is not created by default tracker install

Ah, yep. I'd not really started looking into backward-compatibility. I
might even get some time to look into Roundup next week, which would be
nice.

this was not about backward compatibility. fresh new 'roundup-admin
install' with classic scheme does not create 'extensions' subdir.
without that directory, instance did not load.

Hrm, that doesn't seem right. The instance is created by copying a template tree - and the classic template has an extensions directory in it, with a README.txt explaining what the directory is for. I just tested the install, and it did install the extensions dir...

i see. there is a bug in setup.py. i'll take care of it.

you probably set PYTHONPATH to CVS checkout while i most always do 'make install'.

however, i think that both detectors and extensions are optional and may
not be required. the patch removed this requirement.

I think the dirs should be created, with a README in the extensions dir. Backwards-compatibility requires that a missing dir be handled.

so this patch has to remain as it is.

sincerely yours,
alex.
