[bug #13044] GRUB changes system ID on partition: msg#00064boot-loaders.grub.bugs
Follow-up Comment #2, bug #13044 (project grub): Sorry posted the previous update anonymously. Reposting as myself: This is Works as Designed, because partition IDs are used to hide/unhide partitions. Every hide operation performed while booting into one installation is expected to be unhidden when booting into another.
