Xircom CardBus BCSP problem: msg#00198

Subject: Xircom CardBus BCSP problem
Hi all,

I'm going through posts in the archive regarding the CSR chipset and BCSP
because I have a Xircom CreditCard adapter and can't get it to work with my
familiar 0.7 iPaq (model 3660).

I've understood BlueZ now supports BCSP so I should NOT use [pskey]. When I
plug in the card into any of my iPaq's (model 3660) dual jacket slots, the
iPaq freezes until I unplug it (it then resumes).

By KILLING hcid, when the card is plugged in I can see it (it does not
freeze):

~ # hciconfig hci0 -a
hci0:   Type: PCCARD
        BD Address: 00:00:00:00:00:00 ACL MTU: 0:0 SCO MTU: 0:0
        DOWN
        RX bytes:0 acl:0 sco:0 events:0 errors:0
        TX bytes:0 acl:0 sco:0 commands:0 errors:0
        Features: 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00
        Packet type: DM1 DH1 HV1
        Link policy:
        Link mode: SLAVE ACCEPT
~ # cardctl info 1
PRODID_1="Xircom"
PRODID_2="CreditCard-Bluetooth-Adapter"
PRODID_3="CBT"
PRODID_4="0.04"
MANFID=0105,080a
FUNCID=2

BUT:

~ # hciconfig hci0 up

Hangs my iPaq until I unplug the card (I guess this is what hcid tries to do).

I've come across people suggesting I should do things like:

> setserial /dev/tts/0 baud_base 1000000
> hciattach /dev/tts/0 bcsp [some_baud_rate]

But my iPaq does not have /dev/tts/0 or /dev/ttSB0 (I understand they're
supposed to be available only on modem 39xx and I have a 3660).

Now my /dev has:

~ # ls /dev/tty*
/dev/tty     /dev/tty1    /dev/tty3    /dev/tty5    /dev/ttySA0
/dev/tty0    /dev/tty2    /dev/tty4    /dev/ttyC0

But none of the above work with hciattach.

Going through the web I haven't found a clue what I should try next. Any
ideas/suggestions?

Thanks a lot!
