RE: RFCOMM won't start...solved: msg#00122

Subject: RE: RFCOMM won't start...solved
Marcel,

I finally tracked down the problem, thanks to the news group archive and
someone who posted a message to save others from spend as much time as he
did. I have a custom compiled RedHat 9 kernel 2.4.20-8 and the flag for
RFCOMM was set incorrectly to m for module and it should have been y for yes
(include it in the kernel.

I can't find the link at the moment, but it's somewhere in Aug/Sept. 2003
postings with 'rfcomm. in the title.

This posting shows the exact kernel config flag that must be set.

thanks to everyone who works towards bluetooth on linux.
