Hello -- I'm having a problem with my BlueZ system. It's a 2.4.18 kernel
i368-SuSE configuration, running under VMWare, with all the latest RPM
BlueZ packages installed (including 2.4.18-mh7). Basically, I can
configure and run inquiry ok, but I can't l2ping between devices. It's
using a TDK USB dongle that works fine in other (SA-1110 based) systems.
After I attempt an l2ping, running hciconfig I see there is a TX error:
hci0: Type: USB
BD Address: 00:80:98:34:E8:18 ACL MTU: 192:8 SCO MTU: 64:8
UP RUNNING PSCAN ISCAN
RX bytes:299 acl:0 sco:0 events:29 errors:0
TX bytes:333 acl:2 sco:0 commands:16 errors:1
I also captures the "hcidump" from the not working system, as well as a
different working system. There are some obvious differences, but I
don't know what they mean (or if they're signficiant). If I try to
l2ping *to* the problem machine, it seems to recive the packets ok, but
not transmit them.
Any suggestions as to what's going wrong? Or how to find out what the TX
error is? The obvious strangeness is that I'm using VMWare, but the
basic USB operation seems to be working ok...
Thanks,
Trevor
