I flashed the latest firmware into the dongles, compiled kernel &
bluez mods (2.4.21-rc2, tried 2.5.70 too.)

- bring up hcid
- hcitool scan (both machines find eachother)
- insmod l2cap & bnep
- pand --listen --role NAP on desktop
- pand --listen --role PANU on laptop
- pand --connect <bdaddr> on laptop
After a few tries, this last step usually results in a bnep0
creation.
- ifconfig bnep0 192.168.2.1/2 on desktop/laptop
- ping
Works like a charm. However, sooner rather than later, I get a "hci0
ACL
tx timeout, hci0 killing stalled ACL."
After this, hciconfig -a ends halfway in a "can't read local name on
hci0"
until I unplug and reinsert the dongle.
