Subject: wow
Oh my god. too much priceless stuff to not say anything about it.
Lot's going on right now for those too busy to pay attention.

1) Israel Kills Hamas Leader

Setting a nasty precedent, Israel decides to take action against the
Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas by assasinating its leader,
Sheikh Ahmed Yassin.

"Although the United States has denied any role in Yassin's killing,
Arabs blame Washington for supporting Israel and charge that America
turns a blind eye to Israeli violence against the Palestinians."

lovely. things like this make me feel much *less* secure, even at home.
thanks bush and condi for not breaking our pattern of uni-lateral
support for the (dare I say holocaust) like policies of israel. break
out that bulldozer and kick some more families out of their homes
forever. or...ooh ooh.. build up that wall! god forbid we actually
take a look at our policies and more importantly the underlying reasons
for extreme idealism ... on both sides for that matter.

2) Aristide being expelled from carribbean by condi rice

Democracy Now! breaks another hard hitting story about the truth of what
is happening with ousted Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide. He
is currently in Jamaica after returning from an unrecognized country in
Africa (Central African Republic). See how the Bush administration is
threatening Jamaica with absolute force if anything happens to our
troops in Haiti because of Aristide's presence in the area.

"March 25th, 2004-Randall Robinson, who accompanied Haitian President
Jean-Bertrand Aristide on his historic return trip back to the
Caribbean, reveals that National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice is
telling the Jamaican government if Aristide is not immediately expelled
from the country and anything happens to American forces in Haiti,
consequences would be exacted against Jamaica in full force by the U.S."

DN! is a great program. There have been several programs recently
featuring interviews with Randal Robinson dealing with this whole slap
across the face for democracy world-wide that is Haiti's current
situation.

3) 9/11 commission breaks out from behind closed doors and lets the
public hear it. Oh and boy do they hear it.

from c-span.org: "This weekend we're reairing the entire two days of the
eighth public hearing of the September 11 Commission. "

http://c-span.org/

I have been watching as much of these hearing as I can and it is pretty
mindblowing how bad the Bush administration is being made out to look
here. The previous Bush admin terror czar, Richard Clarke took the
stand on Tuesday and tore everything apart.

"Richard A. Clarke, the former White House counterterrorism expert now
best known for his new book, made the Bush administration look bad this
week. He did so not by making new accusations but by offering a
sentiment President Bush would have a lot of trouble expressing: I'm sorry.

"Your government failed you, those entrusted with protecting you failed
you, and I failed you," Clarke said on Wednesday in his testimony before
the bipartisan commission investigating the terrorist attacks of Sept.
11, 2001. "We tried hard, but that doesn't matter because we failed. And
for that failure, I would ask -- once all the facts are out -- for your
understanding and for your forgiveness.""

WOW. an apology. isn't that refreshing. Now... condi? where's your
hot topic rebuttal baby? Bush and Co. are literally falling apart at
the seams here as they send out their front-line of attack, (guess who
... yup) condi rice. She has plenty of time to go out and talk to a
fucking bazillion talk rags and cut down Richard Clarke's character.
Too bad she can't come clean with the American public too. Oh well.

THE TRUTH *WILL* COME OUT

"One great thing about democracies is that they make it very hard for
secrets to be kept forever, for claims to go unchallenged indefinitely
and for those in power to escape responsibility. The Sept. 11 commission
is democracy's revenge on those who thought that a horrific event in our
nation's history could be used for partisan ends, that serious questions
about what happened would get pushed aside -- and that no one would ever
have to say "I'm sorry.""

----------------------------------------------------------------------

and that's only the start..... so much more going on right now that we
need to be disgussing.

4) Spain bombing and subsequent Social takeover
5) Heightened alert for national party conventions (remember GOP is sept
04 in NYC! if that isn't politics, i'll kill myself)
6) FBI warning of terrorist attacks before the Nov general election ...
specifically oil interests in texas. hmm go figure. I'd think al quada
wants another 4 if you ask me. seems like it's the best thing going for
them right now. if we actually start to meet extremism eye to eye (ha i
know) yeah.. i'll stfu right now as i've said enough. no answers here yet.

7) U.S. online-gambling ban violates international trade laws, WTO rules

Ok.. one more, this one is too good to let go. maybe the WTO has finally
hit a nerve? :)

"The World Trade Organization, in its first decision on an
Internet-related dispute, has ignited a political, cultural and legal
tinderbox by ruling that the U.S. policy prohibiting online gambling
violates its obligations under international trade law."

"But the Bush administration vowed to appeal the decision, and several
members of Congress said they would rather have an international trade
war or withdraw from future rounds of the World Trade Organization than
have American social policy dictated from abroad."

"It's appalling," said Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va. "It cannot be allowed
to stand that another nation can impose its values on the U.S. and make
it a trade issue."

BWWWAAA HA HA AH AHAHAHAHAHAHAH AH AH AHA HA HAH HA AH AH AH AHHA HA AH
