Hello all,
Sorry for the newbie question.
I have a question running Bacula 1.29. I initially installed it on a
RedHat 7.1 system and was writing to disk. I set it up to use compression
and everything ran fine. I ran this several months ago, but I would have
sworn that compression was working.
Next, I set it up on a Debian 3.0 system. I used the same DIR, & SD conf
files as the RedHat machine and the client was the same Windows ME
machine. The backup worked, but there was no compression. There were no
errors indicating why this was the case that I could find. I looked at
the config & make output but nothing jumped out at me. GZIP is installed
on the Debian system, but I thought the client did the compression and the
client didn't change.
Thanks,
Randy
