and actually DegreeToKey seems to sound ... flat.
the example file has lost its cheerful dorian flavor.
i don't have time to fix it myself now, sorry...

this unfortunately means you can't say degreeToKey without knowing the
receiver (one of the niceties of the language for me).
I can just comment it out for now.
