It's floating point. That's what's hard-coded into Server-record.

So, if it's floating point it will wrap instead of clip? That doesn't make
sense. Integers wrap, not floats.

What's strange is Audacity both displays and plays the aiff properly, i.e.
clipped. Why doesn't Quicktime?
