Yes. And symlink files, and hard links. Aliases still don't work, but I don't think that's a big issue.

This could cause a lockup if there are looped links, but I doubt that's likely to be a problem, so I don't check for it.

I think, this is a generally known problem.
Perhaps it should be documented in MyDocument.M?

I can add a comment. At some point I'll write a help file about this as well and note it there.
