Subject: Re: reverb broken in Sox for Windows?

It looks like the problem is Sox isn't detecting the end of the wav file. So it keeps applying the effect to silence infinitely until the process is manually killed.

Does anyone know of a way around this, or know if it was working in previous versions? Or if there's a beta of a new version that might have it working?

I'm wondering if there's a known issue with the reverb command under Windows? It seems to apply the effect, but the process hangs at the end.

For example, running this command from the manual:

sox c:/whatever.wav c:/whatever2.wav reverb 1.0 600.0 180.0

In that command, c:/whatever2.wav is created successfully, but the process doesn't quit until I hit control-C.

Does anyone know a way around this issue?
