A lot of things Sony does don't make sense. But I agree: As I said the
hardware of the N707 and the N1 is mostly identical, so it is unlikely
either one supports it. Maybe the N10, although to my udnerstanding this is
just an enhanced N1. It could also be very well that no hardware outside
(or even inside) Sony's test labs supports this feature, and it is intended
for upcoming models only.

Yeah, actually. It just doesn't make sense that they would put that into
the netmd support on one model and not another. Especially since the
N707 is supposed to be a "better" model, from what I understand.

I remember when the N10 was announced I had a quick comparison of features
against my N1. The only difference I could see was in the size. And Sony says
it has more features. Eg. They say the N10 has something like 10 playback
modes... all of which the N1 has, they just don't specify them all.
