Subject: differences in search

Dear list,

Can someone please send me the current freedb-locate.pl as
well as freedb_search.php script please.

Thank you.

I've tried 2 times before on info@xxxxxxxxxx but I guess my spam
filter has erased all your answers, sorry for that.
Spam filter is off now.

And here is the why:

I was installing the complete freedb on my little linux maschine.
I got the perl scripts from the CVS. Everything is working fine.
Except one thing: When I go for:

1.
http://www.freedb.org/freedb_search.php?words=Iron+Maiden&allfields=NO&fields=artist&fields=title&allcats=YES&grouping=none

I get different results than:

2.
http://plantage.2y.net:81/cgi-bin/freedb-locate?words=Iron+Maiden&allfields=NO&fields=artist&fields=title&allcats=YES&grouping=none

You see, 1. is giving me "Exact match", where 2. gives me
"match any word".

I'm not quite sure if the fault is on my side ...
I was building the search database as described in
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/freedb/server/search/freedb-lmd-notes.html?rev=HEAD&content-type=text/html

So _maybe_ there is some fault in the lutmake or someone
has enhanced the freedb-locate.pl / freedb_search.php script
without submitting it to the CVS.

As I dont want to bother my little linux maschine (P200) with
recreating the search database several times, I try asking the
list.

Meanwhile I was porting the lutstuff to win32.
(result already mailed to info@xxxxxxxxxx (cvs?))

My next goal is writing a little perlscript that acts
like cdfmt.pl _but_ for the windows database, as well
as a perl-script that fetches the _raw_ data from
the windows-database files.

So everybody can install freedb _and_ the search-db
for win32.

Cheers,

Thomas
