Hi Jamie, I'd guess that the CD was burned as multisession, with the data track being in the second session. CDDA only allows for one session, so most standalone players will only read the first session, and hence only show the audio tracks. I don't currently have *nix installed anywhere so I can't verify how Grip and cdparanoia handle data tracks on multisession CDs. If you happen to have a windows machine available, I can send you a bit of code that can read the TOC using the subchannel, which will show exactly what the problem with the CD is.
