Hello,
first of all a quick note to everyone on this list: when sending email
to the list, please use the email-address as sender-address, which you
used to subscribe here - otherwise your message won't get through
automatically and must be approved by me. This is because we must
protect this list from spam emails - therefore only subscribed people
can send messages. If you cannot send from the address you used for
subscribing, please unsubscribe and resubscribe with an email-address,
which you can use as senders address on your emails.

Not sure that it'll be so easy, but a database might help here.

Searches using a database will be much slower than our current search.
Indexes can of course help here, but are most likely not sufficient,
especially for searches for track titles.
So we should probably stick to the method currently used in the
web-based search, which is extremely fast. Also check this thread on
the forums:

I already sent a message to Yuri and asked him to subscribe to fdb-dev
if he hasn't already done so.

Mirroring already works very good right now.

Is this long disclaimer text really necessary when sending email to
this list!?
