Hello fdb-announce list-members,
The new database archives for February 2004 have been released a few
days ago.
The list of mirrors can be found here:
http://www.freedb.org/modules.php?name=Sections&sop=viewarticle&artid=12
Please do not re-download the whole database, if you already have an
old complete database archive. All complete database archive releases
from 21st of July 2001 or newer can be updated using the
update-archives. Users of the Unix format database archives can simply
extract the update-files over the existing database, while users of
the Windows database archives can use the freedb-updater to update
their archives. If you need more than one update-file, please make
sure, that you apply them in the correct order (i.e. oldest first,
newest last).
freedb is always looking for new mirrors for our database archives. If
you can help, please don't hesitate to contact us at info@xxxxxxxxxx!
If you want to know what amount of traffic must be expected for a
mirror in the USA or Canada, take a look at the stats at
http://ca.freedb.org. Mirrors in other parts of the world have lower
bandwidth consumption, as far as we know.
Best regards, Joerg
