Snap, crackle, pop.. and tick under XP: msg#00294audio.eac.user
I'm at my wits end trying to figure out why I'm getting ticks in some of my rips. EAC is reporting 100% or sometimes 99.9%, but some of the songs have errors. I've tried using both the Nero.dll and the native XP interface, tried turning on and off caching, Accurate Stream, C2 functions and various combinations of these functions. Also tried setting Burst mode. All with the same errors, at the same places -- the ticks varying in loudness was the only difference. I can hear the errors also directly playing the CD, and if I hold the disc up to a light, I can see the small pinhole that's causing the ticks. I can understand an error that EAC can't fix, but EAC is reporting no errors! This has happened on more than one cd that I've ripped (5 or so, out of about 25 do far.) What's going on here? I never had these problems under Win 95/98/ME. Any help fixing this would be greatly appreciated! -- BRENT - The Usenet typo king. :) Fast Times At Ridgemont High Info http://www.FastTimesAtRidgemontHigh.org Voted #87 - American Film Institute's Top 100 Funniest American Films
