mozilla 1.1, jaguar, bus error: msg#00771

mozilla 1.1, jaguar, bus error |
I was using a (compiled on my machine by fink) mozilla 1.1 under OS
X.1.5.
I recently upgraded to jaguar (installing the july and then the
august developer tools), and followed the fink upgrade
instructions on fink.sf.net.
I then had troubles with mozilla, so I had fink remove it and then
compile it from source again. I'm still having problems. It starts
up OK, but then I get "bus errors" on many pages. For example, if I
go to google, and do a search, the results will appear, and then
after a few seconds (before I've done anything) mozilla will crash
and I'll get a bus error. On the commandline, it looks like this:
[Impala:~] sadofsky%
Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library
/sw/bin/mozilla: line 62: 6476 Bus error $MOZ_PROGRAM
${1+"$@"}
mozilla -v
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Darwin Power Macintosh; en-US; rv:1.1)
Gecko/20020923 <developer build>
[1] + Exit 138 mozilla
Anyone have any suggestions?
Hal Sadofsky
