Enabling SSL: msg#00003apache.mod-ssl.user
How can I use a .htaccess file to enable ssl connections on a dedicated server? When I try to connect to a page on the site, I get a 404 Not Found error. The configuration from the server is: Apache/1.3.33 (Unix) mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 PHP/4.3.9 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_ssl/2.8.22 OpenSSL/0.9.7a PHP-CGI/0.1b (from phpinfo()). It seems like I should be able to connect using an https prefix, and that I should be able to use a .htaccess file to accomplish this, but I'm having trouble finding exactly how to do this. Can anyone point me to an example?
