Subject: Outcome of source compile of mod sec 2, apache 2.0.59 freebsd ports

hi, it took a bit of "hacking" to make it compile, setting the top dir to a apache source sources not work, claiming that a rules.mk file is missing. Make install on the dev system copies the .so file over fine, we are still having problems on our production machine though.

I had to edit the includes in the makefile

my Makefile

top_dir       = /usr/local/share/apache2
INCLUDES = -I/usr/local/include/libxml2 -I/usr/local/include/apache2 -I/usr/local/include

DEFS = -DWITH_LIBXML2 -DWITH_PCRE_STUDY

however on the production server which is a source apache install i get this after a make install still

/usr/local/bin/bash /www/apache/build/libtool --silent --mode=install cp mod_security2.la /www/apache/modules/
Warning!  dlname not found in /www/apache/modules/mod_security2.la.
Assuming installing a .so rather than a libtool archive.
