Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation. more...

spreadlogd 1.4.2, spread 3.16.2, FreeBSD 4.6-RELEASE: msg#00003

apache.mod-log-spread.user

Subject: spreadlogd 1.4.2, spread 3.16.2, FreeBSD 4.6-RELEASE

Attempting to get the above listed working together.

It took a little tweeking of the spreadlogd code to get it to
compile, but I don't think I fudged any of the functionality, mostly
just included the apropriate includes and libs, etc.

spread starts, sets up the groups, etc.

Fire up spreadlogd, and we get:

spreadlogd -D -v

Here's the last few lines of an strace of spread as it happens

An interesting thing I just noticed, don't know if it matters, but
the two times 'loghost.mydomain' appear above, it actually was only
a partial match to the FQDN of the box, cutting it off just a bit
before end of the FQDN.
