MSVC2005 Link Error in 0.9.8

My log4cxx code compiles fine but fails to link with the following
error:

I have unsuccessfully tried linking against:

log4cxx\build\release\shared\log4cxx.lib

and

log4cxx\build\debug\shared\log4cxxd.lib

Anyone else had linking problems in MSVC2005?
