Good observations... The defect has been around for sometime, but I think
suggested fix by commenting out code in ConditionalNode is incorrect. If I
remember right, that caused other issues.
Since there has been some interest in fixing this defect, I can volunteer to
look at possible fix. Christian suggestion seems to be in the right direction,
but I need to do more research.
