Hi all,
I just tried installing A/DeMuDi-1.2.0 on a K6 machine with a SiS chipset.
Didn't like it at all, I'm at a loss to know why except that the SiS 530
driver failed to load. It's a Packard Bell (Club 78) machine that really was
only ever intended to run Windows. The installer also has problems
configuring X to work with some of the really old 14" monitors we have lying
around. I don't fully understand this yet, either.
I am currently setting up a simple multimedia network for my local Community
Arts Centre using a whole load of random hardware that I've just had thrown
at me. I will, of course be installing A/DeMuDi on most of these machines. I
have to say, it's rather exciting being given the opportunity to create a
public GNU/Linux installation, particularly in a multimedia setting. :-)
cheers
