i just wanted to drop a line and wish everyone working on Agnula/DeMudi
happy holidays and say thanks for all you've done for open source audio
software and getting it to the people.
for the past few months i have been using your software (on a very mixed
system) and debian has been a huge learning curve for me. i havent
written much to the user group because most of what ive been learning is
very new to me and i wouldent even know how to communicate correctly.
from being basically linux iliterate when i first sadly attempted an
install and booted into a black screen till now, much has changed.
everyday i learn more through trial and error and at this point my
computers stability, audio and graphics are amazingly superior to any
windows, apple or suse distro i have ever used over the years. i still
think that all operating systems suck, however i must say that what you
are developing at Agnula/DeMudi is really an amazing and gigantic
accomplishment. the sheer massiveness of multimedia programs compiled
into one install is crazy, who came up with this idea? are they in a nut
ward now? Seriously though...
..i am and i always will be extremely grateful to Agnula, you have given
me the keys and set me free from the chains of crappy software
manufacturers and now i truly have no one to blame but myself if my
system is buggy. if there is anyone else out there who is fumbeling
through that frustrating initial linux learning phase...just hang in
there. patience, reading and tweaking really pay off. what was not
understood yesterday is many times mastered today.
just for the record: compaq presario 1400xl-340, gateway solo-1150 and
my frankenstein-desktop with linked soyo-kt333-dragon-plus and
soyo-kt333-dragon lite motherboards, amd-7 processors and
nvidia-quadropro2-gfxcards are 100% compatable with your latest distro
of DeMudi.
Cheers and thanks again...i wish you all the best of luck.
